Passion is a complicated thing. Obligation can creep up on you and take hold without you realizing. Volkov Frondell is stuck balancing the two upon entering his first year in Michigan State Collegiate. Offered the starting job for the hockey team by his late father's friend, he must navigate the pressures of living up to his fathers legacy and final wishes. To back stop the Michigan Bassins to their second ever championship. But with his passion to play the game that had indirectly taken his father dwindles, it feels like a fever dream.
But sometimes all passion needs is a little fuel for it to spark. Ava Avoci is as outgoing, head strong and passionate as they come. Lacking inspiration for her music, Volkov's diminishing desire in the game he seemingly was born to play grabs her. From his quiet confidence, to his perfectionist nature when it comes to hockey - she peels back the layers in hopes to figure out who he his behind the mask.
