The story and journey takes place after Kion marries Rani and have a child named Raion at the Tree of Life. While in the Pride lands now protected Vitani and her guard with her new daughter Kida. With Kiara and Kovu as the King and Queen of Pride Rock while Simba and Nala were still around. Both cubs have new friends of their own but Kida felt out of place since her grandmother was Zira and claimed to be grandfather was Scar while Raion lives royalty as future prince of Tree of Life or possibly the next leader of the Lion Guard. Both cubs paths will meet and change everything. One an Outsider and one royalty.
