Detective Lee Minho has spent years learning one rule of the job: never trust an informant.

For nearly a year Jisung has been the departments most frustrating source-feeding narcotics detectives just enough information to keep himself out of prison, but never enough to bring down the organisation flooding the city with a new synthetic opioid.

Then Jisung turns up to their usual meeting place covered in blood.

Overnight, the investigation collapses. Safe houses are exposed, witnesses begin turning up dead, evidence disappears. And the detectives hunting a criminal empire realise the enemy they're chasing may not be on the streets.

They may be hiding behind a badge.

They're determined to stop Jisung from talking and blow the operation, and they'll stop at nothing to do that.

For Minho, protecting Jisung was supposed to be an assignment, and Jisung was only trying to keep himself afloat. But somewhere along the line Minho discovers the one thing more dangerous than a corrupt cop or a criminal organisation.
