Ma Petite {The Vampire Lestat}

In which Regina and Solina are twins and they remind Louis de Pointe du Lac entirely to much of his dead "daughter" Claudia.

Louis didn't actually know what to think. Third night in the diner, and he still couldn't tell if he was hallucinating or not. He wouldn't put it past him. He hallucinated Lestat on his and Claudia's journey to Paris all those years ago. Maybe Claudia is paying him a visit now.

Regina was the spitting image of Claudia. He almost thought he saw a ghost the first time he followed her into the diner.

Regina was the Claudia he traveled to Paris with. The Claudia that had been through too much for a young lady. The Claudia that fell in love with Madeleine, his first and only fledgling. The Claudia that joined a coven of vampires. The same coven that made her feel like she belonged, but only for a little while. Regina was the Claudia that burned to ashes while holding her lover and looking at her father. That's who he saw when he saw Regina.

It's strange really.

How can you look at couple of sisters, of twins, and see the same person from two different periods of time in them?

The first time he saw Solina, it was like he went back to the beginning of it all.

If Regina was Paris, then Solina was New Orleans.

Solina was the Claudia that was burning in her home because of his mistakes. Solina was the Claudia that seen Louis for the first time and thought he was an angel that saved her. Solina was the Claudia that was happy with her "Daddy Lou" and "Uncle Les". Solina was the Claudia that would ask a hundred questions with excitement and write all night in a diary that felt like her only friend. Solina was like her name. She was the sun. She was beautiful and curious and kind. All the things Claudia was before the night of Charlie's death.

Louis wanted to be near them. He wanted to have a way to be near Claudia again. He thought that if he could be near Regina and Solina, then he could have back the life he lost so long ago.
