Let There Be Light : A DC Comics x Highschool DxD Story

Kyle Rayner grew up in the Town of Kuoh, lived there his whole life ever since his parents moved there. Kyle never knew his father, who left when he was really young. So, Kyle was raised by his mother alone. Though she never spoke ill of his father, so he assumed that his father died or something.

As Kyle lived in Japan, his face and name stood out like a sore thumb. It was clear he had a western background, yet he spoke Japanese perfectly. Though, he did know English, too.

Living down the street from him, were the Hyoudou Family, who had a son of their own named Issei. When Kyle and Issei were little boys, their parents brought them together and had them socialize pretty often. The two quickly became good friends, and eventually best friends. They both enjoyed nearly the exact same things and spent lots of time at each other's houses.

Now they're studying at Kuoh Academy as soon-to-be adults, for entirely different reasons. Kyle decided he wanted to join that academy to take their art classes and excel in them. Issei on the other hand, he was trying to get with girls since the academy had way more girls than boys which would increase his chances of getting a girlfriend. Kyle tried to steer him away from his "urges", but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't stop him.

Despite their goals, fate ends up taking a turn and both boys are thrust into a situation bigger than the both of them. But as long as they have each other's backs, they can take on the world.
