Addyson "Addie" Carter has spent her entire life surrounded by uniforms, sirens, and impossible expectations.
As the daughter of LAPD Chief Mei Carter and former chef John Carter, everyone assumes she's only wearing the badge because of her family name. Determined to prove them wrong, Addie graduates from the LAPD Academy alongside her best friend, Jackson West, and fellow rookies Lucy Chen and John Nolan.
Assigned to Mid-Wilshire Division, Addie quickly discovers that being a rookie is nothing like the Academy. Her Training Officer, Sergeant Tim Bradford, is strict, demanding, and has no patience for excuses.
From the moment they meet, sparks fly-but not the romantic kind.
Addie makes it crystal clear that she won't tolerate Tim's hard-ass attitude, while Tim is determined to push her harder than anyone else. Neither of them is willing to back down.
