The Stage is Still Standing

Valen van Halztz is a hero.

The people love him. After his impossible victory at Kessel Bridge, he should've received everything a soldier dreams of honor, recognition..maybe even a statue?

Instead, the Empire of Satroè gives him something else.

High command does not see Valen as a hero. They see a threat? A precedent.

A soldier who disobeys orders is a threat.

A soldier who disobeys orders & wins is something far more dangerous.

Rewarded with exile disguised as command, Valen is sent beyond the borders of Satroè to lead a brigade into an unknown frontier.

While he fights to survive at the edge of the world, the empire he left behind continues to move even without him.
