I am in love with Steven Universe, so I was like "Hey why not write an au where the gems are in middle school and hiding the fact that they're gems?" Thus, Gem Middle School was born! Gay couple with, very surprisingly, a few straight ones. Also, They're all in 7th grade, no set ages or stuff like that. Enjoy! I am so sorry about the title I had to do it. Peridot isn't really a narcissist, and Lapis isn't really as strange as she seems. Peridot soon finds herself developing feelings for Lapis, feelings she's never felt before. Confused and afraid, Peridot is trying her best to figure this out. Yet she can't help but wonder... Does Lapis feel the same? THIS STORY IS COMPLETED. (yayahhh) Okay, so I'm just... trying to write a fanfiction, okay? About Lapis Lazuli and Peridot and Jasper and... eh... what happened on that big hand-ship before the Crystal Gems crashed it. (This story ends near the end of the episode Jail Break) I'm keeping this child-friendly. None of what I consider cursing is in this book. And it's just friendship. And forgiveness. It might be a bit of a sad story, maybe... but anyway, it's not romantic love-stuff. And there might be a little violence because – y'know – Jasper's in the book. But not too bad. I try to keep the characters, well, in character, but I probably didn't succeed. Includes some of my own theories about Yellow Diamond and Homeworld; not everything in this story is canon.
