Jess and Dean get into another fight, and Principal Milton has had enough and signs them up for the Stars Hollow annual art show competition. When they get together to talk about their project, Jess starts flirting with Dean, initially just messing with him, but when Dean flirts back, things get weird. Jess talks to Dean, saying how much he likes being close. After they talk, they make a deal to use each other as sexual punching bags. Jess, not knowing exactly how he feels about Dean, lies and says it's a no-strings-attached arrangement. But they both start falling for each other.
