Memories in Between [ Sae Itoshi x Reader ]

"I believe that soulmates are two people who always find each other in the end."

Before Sae leaves for Spain, he promises his childhood friend that he would return to Kamakura as a better soccer player and person for her to love. The promise was broken after Sae abandons his dream as a world class striker and begins to orientate his life without Y/N in the picture. Time passed and Y/N does the same. Will the lovers find each other in the end?

PS: the frame of the writing is going to be done by reflecting on memories and present events. I hope it makes sense as you guys read it. I am trying something new with my writing. Also the story will try to follow the timeline of the Blue Lock anime/manga but most parts won't be highly accurate because Sae is not covered very much. I hope my creative freedom will keep this as canon as possible by retaining the timeline as much as possible.
