The night shift at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center never slows down. Gunshot wounds, cardiac arrests, impossible choices and impossible losses arrive through the emergency department doors hour after hour, demanding everything from the people who work there.
Among them is twenty-five-year-old nurse practitioner Lilly Christian.
