That's the lesson Amara, daughter of Hercules and Megara, has lived by her entire life.

Raised on Mount Olympus to fight alone, she's spent years proving that strength means independence. Armed with a lightning hairpin gifted by Zeus, she's determined to show Auradon-and everyone in it-that she's more than just another hero.

Then the timeline changes. When the consequences of Descendants: Rise of Red create an unwanted future, Amara is sent to Auradon Prep and joins Red's mission in Wonderland to save The Queen of Hearts. Alongside HKs and VKs, she'll face impossible riddles, living nightmares, and enemies who can't always be defeated with a sword.

Warm-hearted, endlessly optimistic, and determined to protect everyone around him, Luis is everything Amara refuses to be. Their constant clashes turn every mission into a battle of wills-until one mistake changes everything.

As Wonderland grows darker, loyalties are tested, friends become enemies, and time itself begins to unravel. Amara will discover that even the strongest heroes have limits... and that trusting someone with your heart may be the bravest battle of all.
