When 27 year old A-list actress Ines Holland publicly known as Mary V dies from slipping and hitting her head on her bathtub in her lush penthouse in the Tribeca, her cause of death is ruled as acute alcohol intoxication - or at least that's what the tabloids say.

Convinced that something far more sinister happened to her, her twin brother River who works as a journalist at The Manhattan Gazette goes undercover as a high-fashion model under the alias River Perry to determine the actual cause of her death, starting by blackmailing the newest Victoria's Secret Angel : Lorelai Hartford.

In exchange for stepping out into the public eye as a couple, River promises to ensure that her dirty little secret is kept in his pockets.

With a hit list of all of Ines's friends in the Hollywood industry and NYC'S latest prized possession riding on his arm, River claws his way into the golden circles of Hollywood where he's pulled into a conspiracy that crystalizes into reality the deeper he gets.

But when feelings start to develop for the dangerously gorgeous girl he's blackmailing and reality and fiction starts to blur, River has to decide whether his thirst for revenge is worth destroying his entire life for.
