My name is Mavis and I used to be proud of my mother. She was a dancer. At home, she would teach me how to dance. We would foxtrot around the house, waltz or any kind of dance move our tiny apartment would permit. But that was before I found out where she danced. My mother was a stripper. And everyone knew but me. Each time I went to school my classmates would laugh and taunt me. "Your mother is a whore!" they would say. I believed them because it was the truth. And each time she came home late from 'dancing', I despised her more and more and more.

I guess that's why it was easier to kill her when I found her hunched over my dog Perry with blood on her everywhere and eating Perry's brain. But only by a little bit.

Even before I knew I wanted to become a pilot I knew I was destined to be one. My name is Pilot and I was ready to hit aviation school in Phoenix. It was sunny and sweaty and sticky and all I wanted to do was down a gallon of ice water and make out with my very, very hot girlfriend. She was driving that time and she was laughing despite being in line for the toll booth. Then the car hit us. Next thing I know, we were running but she was too slow. I was already in an abandoned car, ready to run. That was when she was bit. I couldn't see her turn like the others.

So I ran over her. Twice. For good measure.

Meet Mavis and Pilot. Two unlikely friends brought together by the unlikeliest of circumstance. Together they'll try to survive and discover that maybe zombies aren't the scariest thing on earth. Maybe humans are.
