Thousands of years after the age of the pharaohs, the gods of Egypt are still watching humanity. Their power has faded, but they continue to choose mortal champions to keep Ma'at (order, truth, and justice) from being consumed by Isfet (chaos and destruction).
The protagonist is an autistic teenager with ADHD and dyslexia who unexpectedly becomes one of these chosen champions. Their neurodivergence isn't magical or caused by the gods-it's simply part of who they are. As they learn to navigate an ancient magical world, they discover strengths that help them solve problems in ways others don't.
