Yakura was once a young soul reaper found by the Head Captain Yamamoto, she was broufht under his wing and trained to be a soul reaper. Her efforts in expanding the capabilites of one's own zampakuto fusion of blade and user was recognised by the upper authority of Soul society

But during the War with Quincys she was cast out into the gates of Hell by the ones she once fought with

Now after her banishment to hell she breaks free from hell after a breach of influxing souls and travels to the human world. There she encounters a unique group of people she would later learn would forever change both her and her allies
