David and Mary

David and Mary is a post-apocalyptic survival novel set in Europe during the final days of the Cold War. As the rivalry between Communism and Capitalism reaches its peak, a catastrophic laboratory explosion and nuclear disaster spread radiation across the continent, bringing civilization to an end.

The radiation awakens supernatural mutations in humans. Some become powerful yet remain human, while others are horribly deformed in both body and mind. With crops destroyed, livestock extinct, and no cure for the mutations, Europe falls into an age known as The Great Day of Famine and Death.

To contain the catastrophe, the surviving governments seal off Europe behind massive walls, dividing cities into isolated Containment sectors called The
European Containment Complex (ECC). Trapped inside a continent where survival is everything, David and Mary must journey through the ruins, facing starvation, ruthless survivors, and mutated horrors while searching for hope in a world that has long since forgotten peace.
