Leighton O'Reily never wanted a life filled with violence, but when her mother turns up murdered, her older brother Callum uses Leighton as bait. Having a sense of who their mother's killer is, Callum sends Leighton away to take college forensic classes to learn the mind of a killer like himself. Soon enough, Leighton realizes that the lines between student and professor blur into a heady mix of something untamed. But the more time Leighton spends locked away with her professor, and the more time Warner spends with his so-called "threat", they both come to the conclusion that maybe they aren't as bad as they think. They're just two misunderstood people whose worlds collided.
