After nearly a decade of your life, you left your husband. You couldn't help him if he didn't want to help himself. You left your life, your job, and your best friend, and you didn't know if you'd ever go back.
After a year away, your best friend, Sam Wilson, called you back into the city for a quick job, when you met his shiny and charismatic new partner, Joaquin Torres. You stayed in the city with Sam for a while, and Joaquin was constantly in your orbit.
He made it clear from the beginning that he was after your attention, and after many months, you finally agreed to a date that ended up with you in his sheets until dawn.
With only a few months of building on what you had with Joaquin, your life takes a turn for the worse.
