Naruto: The Dragon sage

After Kakashi refuses to train him for the Chunin Exams finals against Neji, a dejected Naruto leaves the hospital where Sasuke is recovering. While distracted and venting his frustrations, he reflects on his miserable position in Team 7. He feels unwanted by his teammates, who treat him like an outsider, resents Kakashi's obvious favoritism toward Sasuke, and is fed up with Sakura's obsessive fangirling over Sasuke. Tired of it all, he considers asking the Third Hokage for help.
Before he can act, a group of hostile shinobi-who resent the "demon brat" advancing to the finals-ambush him. They brutally beat and torture him, nearly killing him, and stab the seal on his stomach. The attack interacts with Orochimaru's Five Elements Seal layered over Naruto's original seal, triggering a violent explosion that releases a massive surge of Tailed Beast chakra.
The Third Hokage arrives at the scene and discovers the attackers, who proudly declare they've killed Naruto. Enraged, the Hokage has them arrested. He orders Inoichi to examine their memories for a full report, then sentences the responsible Jonin to execution. Finally, he confronts Kakashi and informs him of the consequences stemming from his poor decision.
