Let Me Love You Again

He said her name like it still cost him something.

"Long time, Potter."

Six years since she last saw him. Six years of unanswered letters. Now Draco Malfoy is standing in her brother's wedding garden, wearing dress robes and the same eyes that used to watch her across a common room like she was the only unsolved problem he actually wanted to keep solving.

She's Lyra Potter. Harry's twin sister nobody wrote into the prophecy, the strongest duelist Slytherin ever produced, the girl who spent the last six years running across continents instead of sitting still with anything that hurt. He's the boy who once corrected her wand movements over stolen tarts at midnight, who begged his own aunt to stop torturing her and never told her, who let her walk out of a burning corridor with nothing but his silence.

When it finally ended, she didn't get a goodbye just a letter that told her to go be ordinary, and have nothing to do with him.

She did. Mostly.

Now they're standing three feet apart at a wedding that isn't theirs, six years of everything unsaid sitting between them like something solid, and for the first time since a battlefield tore them onto opposite sides of the same war, nobody is asking either of them to fight.

The question is whether that's enough to finally start something neither of them ever got to finish.
