He takes a step closer and I flinch, then I wobble on the edge and shriek.

I fly down and draw in ragged pulls of breath that don't want to reach my lungs.

I jerk my head back to him and find him closer. Too close. Right behind me, looming over me with... the darkest blue eyes I'd ever seen. As blue as the sky.

"W-who a-are y-y-you," my words stumble, my throat dry and scratchy when I back up.

He doesn't reply. He stares back, dry lips pressed in a thin line, brows slammed down.
