Seclusion: Xicheng

Years after the fall of Lotus Pier to the Wens, Jiang Cheng has become the sect leader the Jiangs needed him to be: powerful, respected, and unwavering. But beneath the death glares and Zidian, Jiang Cheng has spent years carrying the weight of everything he lost.

His parents. His beloved sister. His sect. And the fear he will fail the people who need and depend on him now.

When Jin Ling, now sect leader of the Lanlin Jin Sect, finally reaches his brekaing point with his uncle's constant criticism, he leaves their argument believing Jiang Cheng wil never understand him. While Jin Ling only sees a strict and impossible guardian, Jiang Cheng carries a truth that has tormented him for years: He couldn't protect Jiang Yanli. He couldn't save anyone. So he refuses to lose anyone else.

However, long before the argument, Jiang Cheng's health was already declining. What had started as exhaustion turned into something worse, leaving Yunmeng Jiang's gifted physician, Jiang Anyu, clueless. Despite her warnings, Jiang Cheng refuses to rest, insisting that the sect cannot stop simply because he is unwell.

When Jiang Cheng is on the verge of losing himself to death, Jiang Anyu turns to the one who might be able to heal his problems. Knowing that the sect leader himself just got out of seclusion a few months prior, Jiang Anyu wants to put her trust in Lan Xichen, believing he might be able to heal Jiang Cheng, physically and perhaps mentally.
