Daisy's In The Dark

When Jess starts to loose herself, falling further and further apart with each passing day, it becomes almost impossible for her to pull herself out. When she's told every minute, of every day she is worthless, anyone would eventually begin to believe it. No amount of self love can change that. Then one day, one boy sees the beauty she has been conditioned to hate. He falls in love with her, doing anything in his power to make her see the person she is...the one she loathes.
Otis doesn't care whether she loves him back, it doesn't cross his mind for a second. He wants her to love herself, to see the beauty she cannot.
This story will be listed as mature as it has themes of family domestic violence including verbal and mental abuse. Even though its not a huge part of the story, I still want to put that warning in there.
This story is based off my own experiences with family domestic abuse, and how it eats away at you, it will be reflected in the character of Jess.
