When Brynne Wilde was eight, her whole world fell apart.

Her mom died in an accident caused by her dad. Her dad went to prison. Her little brother got sent to a different foster home, and Brynne spent the rest of her childhood learning one hard truth:

When he crashes his car and the 118 shows up, he's immediately drawn to the paramedic who couldn't care less about his expensive suits, family name, or easy charm.
