The Last

For sixteen years, Elias Raid has believed he is the one child nobody wanted.

Raised in an orphanage with no family, no past, and no future beyond the walls that shaped him, Elias has learned not to hope for things that never come.

Then, in a single day, everything changes.

A stranger places an ancient coin in his hand and somehow knows his name. A woman appears to adopt him when he thought he had been forgotten forever. A shadow begins following him wherever he goes. And when Elias wakes in the bedroom of a boy he's never met, he discovers that reality is no longer obeying its own rules.

Together with the enigmatic Matson, Elias is drawn into a mystery that reaches far beyond either of their lives. As impossible events begin to unfold, they must uncover the truth before the darkness hunting them catches up.

Because some people aren't abandoned...

They're being saved for something far greater.
