"Ah, yeah, sorry, am I late?", is the only thing the white-haired boy says, as he enters the classroom. I raise my eyebrows. This is the last thing I needed right now, especially since there's still this really empty seat beside me.
I look around and to my relief, there are plenty of other seat options. I shift my attention back to my working sheet of polynomial functions, hearing the teacher's not-amused voice at the boy's statement.
She sighs, "Yes, in fact you missed almost half of this lesson. Since it's the first day, I'm gonna let this one slide, but don't let it happen again. Something tells me you need these lessons more than everyone else here." She seems really done with this guy.
"Ouch.", the boy replies with a smirk before walking over and sitting down beside me. I close my eyes for a second. It's just math.
And every other subject we have in this room.
