Bait & Switch // Mattheo Riddle

Morta stepped closer to his bed. Her expression was cold, eyes sharp as daggers.

"If you don't want to be next, Riddle," she said, her voice low and dangerous, "you'd better keep your mouth shut."

Mattheo let out a dark, velvety laugh. He leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand, looking at her like she was the most incredible creature he had ever seen.

"Threatening me?" Mattheo whispered, his grin widening. "Careful, little dove. I actually like taking orders from a feisty woman like you."

Morta stared at him, feeling the intense, toxic spark igniting between them once again. She turned on her heel and walked toward the exit.

"Don't test me, Riddle." she murmured without looking back.

"I wouldn't dream of it." Mattheo called out softly as she opened the door. "See you around, murderer."
