They say every saint is remembered for a miracle.

Mine was learning how to love people who were never meant to stay.

'The Patron Saint of Almost' is a memoir in verse stitched together from summers that smelled of rain on warm pavement, church bells fading into twilight, flowers pressed between notebook pages, and the quiet catastrophe of falling in love before knowing what love could ask in return.

Every chapter is a different confession.

A boy who became a constellation. A classroom that still echoes with laughter. A goodbye that never sounded like one. The strange holiness of longing for someone who never belonged to you, yet somehow lived inside every beautiful thing you saw afterward.

These poems drift through youth, memory, devotion, loneliness, and desire, lingering in the places where love never quite arrived but never truly left. They are written for the almosts-for the almost kisses, almost futures, almost forever, and the people who unknowingly became prayers whispered beneath an endless summer sky.
