Kennedy Davis was barely approaching middle school by the time she met Demolitionist online during playing video games. They became quick friends and grew close, but that bond wasn't for the sake of real friendship. That's how it began, but it's not how it ended up.

At the same time, Kennedy met CynicalEye and AngelicDart through him. The trio became friends, but Demolitionist prevented proper bonding. Bonding with them too close meant that he wasn't the #1 priority, which couldn't be allowed. A lot of things got hidden from them both.

Navigating through her emotions and thoughts as she gets groomed, Kennedy uses her daydreaming and imaginative nature to combat and understand what she's going through. But things aren't going to be easy. Not one bit.

And things don't get any easier when Kennedy attempts to convince Demolitionist's girlfriend, FlowerbudWoman, about what he's done wrong over the past few years.

They Only Listen to The Adults is a fictional story revolving around a victim's navigation to improvement and security after being groomed by an older figure for nearly 4 years. At the same time, the victim struggles with self-identity and self-acceptance, as they realize more things about themselves than before.
