Faded Beginnings

For generations, BeachClan, AshClan, GorgeClan, and ShardClan have lived apart, each shaped by the land they call home. The sea, the ruins, the gorge, and the mountains have made them strong in different ways-but beneath their differences lies an ancient bond forged beneath the four oaks of Fourtrees.

Every full moon, the Clans gather in peace.

Or at least, they are supposed to.

When the first Gathering of a new season leaves every Clan uneasy, BeachClan begins to notice that something isn't right. GorgeClan has become strangely silent.

Then strange things begin happening closer to home.

A shadow appears where no cat should be.

Pawprints lead somewhere they shouldn't.

An unfamiliar scent lingers at the edge of BeachClan's territory... faint, almost washed away, yet somehow familiar.

And someone seems to be watching FadedKit, a young kit who has no idea why she has become a target.

As FadedKit grows closer to DriftClaw, the warrior who quietly becomes the father figure she needs, she also finds herself growing closer to RockPaw, an apprentice who constantly pesters her for reasons neither of them quite understands.

But while friendships grow and the Clans continue their everyday lives, something darker is beginning to move beneath the surface.
