Have you ever questioned what became of you? We're there moments that passed where you wonder how that came to be and or where did the time go? I remember learning that we were not born racist. The understanding that we reap what our parents sow became ever so clear in our upbringing. While on my annual retreat, I discovered a part of my lack of self growth came from the beaten down purity that was once a child. Children are pure. Of heart, kindness, trust and joy. Much as we learn our prejudices, we also learn how not to trust or feel. The innocence gets lost along the cobblestone highway that is this life. I decided to jot down my recollection of how my happiness depleted through my short time on earth and in this vessel which is my body. My spirit, is another realm altogether.
