I kept thinking about getting out of that horrible place. I was trapped, cold, and starving. I had no idea if the next time my family saw me would be in a casket. I begged them to let me out. But that just made things worse.

I laid there helpless... Just like that my mouth opened and I started sobbing, as the paramedics dragged my mother out. She wasn't moving whatsoever, but her eyes were wide open. She laid there a few feet away from me and I swear to god I could still see the fear lingering in her eyes. It was only a few moments that the paramedics put a long white sheet over her face and body, and that's when I realized she was dead...
