Every night, at exactly 11:59 PM, my phone rings.
I don't know who he is.
I don't know how he knows my name.
And I don't know why he always finds me one minute before everything goes wrong.
He hides behind a mask.
He refuses to tell me his name.
He only asks me to call him one thing:
Midnight.
Sometimes he warns me.
Sometimes he saves me.
Sometimes he disappears before I can ask the questions that keep me awake at night.
But one thing never changes.
