For some people, the world was black and white; for others, it was red and green.
As humans, we can turn every small, meaningless thing into a big symbol. Even the Hogwarts houses, which were created to encourage a little competition and foster a sense of belonging, became much more than that. After the Second Wizarding War, it came as no surprise that one opinion had become established: green meant evil and red meant bravery. It was reassuring that each child in the Golden Trio was sorted into Gryffindor, fitting right into the stereotype and filling family with pride.
Well, almost all of them.
This is the story about a generation with more luck than their parents had, yet still everything seems to be as complicated. Mudblood is a bad word, names that once meant so much mean now nothing at all, everyone is more aware, more woke. Yet, there are still people who feel better than others.
This is the story about a bunch of students, not at Hogwarts, at the new University of Magic, placed right on the other side of the Forbidden Forest - partying, having sex, fighting, playing grown-ups, proving themselves, making stupid mistakes, the kind which you can only make when you're twenty. However, behind those silly games, there is history. The burden of a bad family name, the weight of having Death Eater parents, the blessing of being born into a family of heroes.
This story is about the new generation, but really it's about the concept of generations itself - they are never in a vacuum, and there is nothing that has more impact on us than our parents' choices. Maybe only our own.
