As she journeys across Faerûn alongside Ezra, a compassionate Lythari half-elf Beast Master Ranger devoted to Selûne and Mielikki, the two forge an unbreakable bond while searching for answers about Vespera's forgotten identity. But as memories begin to surface and the truth of her bloodline is revealed, Vespera discovers she is the chosen child of Bhaal, destined to become his instrument of murder. Torn between embracing the darkness within or resisting the god who created her for slaughter, she must confront impossible choices that will determine not only her own fate but the fate of the Sword Coast, proving that even in a world ruled by gods, monsters, and mind flayers, hope can still be found in those who refuse to let you face the darkness alone.
