Thousands of years ago, Heaven won a war that no one remembers.

They discovered that certain mythological beasts couldn't be killed. Every time one died, another disaster would take its place. So rather than fight them forever, the Jade Emperor imprisoned them inside a single divine artifact:

The Scroll of Ten Thousand Calamities. The scroll isn't just paper.
It's a prison, a history book, and a lock.
Each page contains the true name of one ancient catastrophe.
As long as those names remain written...
