Consumed by trauma and marked by a heavy scar, 5-year-old Émilie is living through a true nightmare. Rejected by her parents and then abused at the orphanage by adults and other children alike, she sinks into terror and absolute solitude.

On the other side of the world, the seven members of BTS are finally making their international adoption dream a reality. In search of a child to cherish, they fly to Europe, completely unaware of what awaits them.

When their path crosses Émilie's, the shock is overwhelming. Confronted with this broken little girl who fears even the gentlest hand reached out to her, the seven young men will have to arm their hearts with infinite patience and gentleness to teach her how to live, trust, and smile again.
