Hizashi Yamada's apartment is full of light, loud music, and bright colors.

Shota is an ancient, shadow-dwelling demon who was supposed to bring about the end times-until a botched summoning ritual bound him to a hyperactive blonde human. Now, instead of laying waste to the mortal realm, Shota spends ninety percent of his immortal existence wrapped in a weighted blanket, curled on Hizashi's sofa like an oversized, scaly cat.

It turns out that ancient demons don't actually want blood and sacrifice; they just want a dark room, black coffee, and a quiet place to sleep. And Hizashi? Hizashi is more than happy to provide all three, even if it means navigating wing joints, accidental tail trips, and the softest, most domestic monster to ever occupy his living room.
