Instead of Rumi being Rumi, Rumi is Kumi. (Kumiho)
This AU is about a post apocalyptic ending of the original plot (with some changes made to Rumi's backstory) where upon Celine seeing Rumi as a demon, she tells her to hide, but not in way they she was hiding before. Rumi hides in a cave, and one day, she finds she can no longer stand upright, and has difficulty moving (enter the shuffle) then, evil scientist Yuri finds her, taking her in.
Yuri's motives?
To find the effects of starvation on a Kumiho.
After losing her sense of humanity, Rumi, now Kumi, escapes with the help of remorseful researcher, Hae-bin.
She's then forced to live nomadically in order to avoid contact with Yuri or any of her team.
She travels across the great multiverse, featuring some of my own AUs and even the canon universe, through these experiences, she gradually regains her sense of humanity.
