My name is Nova Stackhouse and even though Sookie is my twin sister, we look nothing alike. She can read minds. I can see the future, travel between worlds, and command more power than anyone in Bon Temps has ever imagined. When one of my visions shows Eric Northman and Godric dying, I refuse to let fate take them. I grab them both and use my magic to pull us into another universe before their deaths can happen. The world we land in is already falling apart. The dead walk. Cities have burned. Survivors are scattered, desperate, and willing to do anything to stay alive. But my magic changes more than our location. It changes Eric and Godric too, allowing them to walk freely in the daylight without burning. For the first time in centuries, they can stand beneath the sun. With nowhere safe to go, I use my powers to make a brand-new RV appear-fully stocked, protected, and large enough for the three of us to call home. It becomes our shelter as we travel through the apocalypse and meet a group of survivors fighting to stay alive. Walkers may hunt the living, but they are about to learn that vampires are not helpless prey. I saved Eric and Godric from death. Now, with two ancient vampires at my side, a magical RV carrying us through the ruins, and my visions warning me that something worse is coming, I have to protect the people I choose and survive a world that was never meant for us.

I added that mysterious magic has started appearing without her fully understanding or controlling it yet. My name is Austin Grimes. I'm twenty-two years old, the daughter of Rick Grimes, and I've spent the last four years hiding a deadly secret from the rest of the world. I'm a vampire. I was attacked and turned against my will. There was no hiding the truth from my family, but thankfully, I got all the good parts of being a vampire. I have incredible speed, unnatural strength, heightened senses, and I can even walk in the sun without burning. There's only one downside. I have to drink blood to survive. As if being a vampire wasn't strange enough, something else has started happening to me. Every so often, magic appears without warning. A flicker of power in my hands. An object moving when I'm angry. Something impossible happening when I need it most. I don't know where it came from or what it means. I only know it's getting stronger. My family accepted me, but Shane Walsh was the one who was always there when things became too much. He helped me adjust to what I had become, stayed beside me through the fear and hunger, and never once treated me like a monster. Somewhere along the way, he became more than my father's best friend. He became mine. Then the dead started walking, civilization collapsed, and the world became overrun with creatures that craved human flesh. For the first time since I was turned, I'm no longer the strangest or most dangerous thing hiding in the shadows. My speed, strength, and unpredictable magic could be the reason my family survives-but every time I use my abilities, I risk exposing exactly what I am to people who may decide I'm no different from the monsters outside the gates. Thankfully, I won't be facing the end of the world alone. Shane has always stood beside me, and the apocalypse isn't going to change that. Walkers aren't the only monsters left in this world. Some are alive. Some are undead.
