The No Karate Kid- Story Summary
Anthony LaRusso was never interested in his family's karate legacy or cared. He preferred to stay in the shadow of his older sister, father, and Mr.Miyagi's legacies. The one thing he enjoyed doing was hanging out with his next-door neighbor, and childhood best friend, Maisie Montgomery. Since they were in diapers, the pair was undoubtedly close. As they grew older, their bond never changed really. They'd play video games, (Maisie always destroying him in Mortal Kombat or some card game, like Anthony would ever admit that.) To Anthony, Maisie was his safe zone- the one person who knew the real, dorky kid behind the LaRusso wealth.

However, eighth grade changes everything. When a new transfer student named Kenny Payne arrives at West Valley Middle School, peer pressure from his new friend group forces Anthony into a dark path of regret and bullying. As Anthony turns deeper into a toxic persona to protect his newly earned social status, his carefree baseline he once knew begins to crack. Caught between choosing to escape the cruel laughter of his friends and the devastating silence of his once moral anchor, Anthony is about to learn that choices have consequences... and some high scores can't be reset.
