James and his twin friends Amber and Andrew are headed off on a fun-filled school trip across America, and not even the dark clouds above them could possibly dampen their spirits. With their combination of James and Amber's level-headedness and Andrew's zany sense of humor, what could possibly go wrong? Well...besides a giant robot attacking them and breaking their stuff, and being chosen to go on a journey to save the entire universe, what could go wrong? With the universe at stake, with paradoxes across all of space and time appearing and wreaking havoc on life as we know it, a mystery man watching their every move, a giant robot with a personal vendetta against them, and some help from a friendly custodian and his mysterious machine, this motley group of three friends definitely have their work cut out for them. Far, far, FAR, into the future, and I mean, like really far into the future; some stuff happened. The world ended, but that was a long time ago (don't worry about it). Humanity had no choice but to flee into space and then we came face to face with the same age-old issue: how are we going to pay rent this month? I was literally about to sell my organs, but then I discovered a better solution: crime. Time travel somehow got involved in the mix, honestly, I'm a bit foggy on the details. Time travel's complicated, okay?! It all started with this guy Robert. He messed up at work. And I mean, he really messed up. Normally you'd just get fired, but he knew too much. He didn't just need to disappear, he needed to be erased. That's where I come in. Me and Ronnie were gonna kill him, but like, consensually. I know that doesn't make a lot of sense, but it will. Bear with me. We did it, alright-it was easy. Whoops, spoilers. It was everything that happened after that that really threw us for a loop I got stuck and I couldn't get unstuck. I forgot a lot of things and it took a long time for me to remember, but then I forgot and it happened all over again. And again. And again. And again. I told you time travel is a mess.

OK, it's not the most prestigious place to study but it's far better then having their memories erased before being dumped back on Earth. They're soon befriended by fellow misfits including mayhem making ladette and talented hacker 'mischievous' Maya, disturbed and angry girl 'crazy' Daisy with her dark mysterious past and likeable conspiracy theorist 'loony' Lauren. Together they must fight the return of the evil dictatorship before it can wreck the re-emerging New Martian society.
