Cill Valleys is a young artist living quietly in the year 2000 - rarely leaving his room, carrying a burned face and a heart full of questions the world never bothered to answer. One night he draws something in an old diary he found in his basement. Something honest. Something ugly. Something true.
In the year 1900, Quevestine Valleys receives a diary as a present from her tutor Miss Eva - a gift to mark the passing of her final exams. She opens it for the first time, ready to write her first words inside it. But the first page is already marked by a hand she does not recognize.
What begins as confusion becomes conversation. What becomes conversation becomes the most unlikely bond either of them has ever known - two strangers, one hundred years apart, learning each other through ink and paper, through arguments and silences, through everything words can carry and everything they cannot.
