After the Storm

A luxury mountain chalet was never supposed to be the beginning of their story.

When successful fashion photographer Isla Hart arrives in the Swiss Alps for a much needed two-week escape, she has one goal: disappear from the world. Burnt out by deadlines, social media, and a career that no longer feels like hers, the secluded chalet is exactly the reset she needs.

Until she opens the front door.

Someone is already there.

Noah Bennett is a venture capitalist whose life runs on schedules, numbers, and control. He's rented the same chalet after a booking error neither company is willing to admit. With every nearby hotel fully booked and a snowstorm rolling in faster than expected, they're told to make it work for one night.

By morning, every road has disappeared beneath metres of snow.

The power flickers. Phone signal vanishes. Rescue crews warn them it could be up to two weeks before the roads reopen.

From arguing over groceries and fighting for the fireplace to shovelling snow and cooking by candlelight, Isla and Noah are forced to share every moment of their unexpected isolation. The more they learn about each other, the more the carefully built walls around them begin to crack.

And Isla isn't nearly as fearless as the world believes.

As the storm outside grows stronger, so does something neither of them planned for. But when the snow finally melts and real life comes calling, they'll have to answer the question they spent two weeks trying to avoid:
