When 16-year-old Oliver Turner receives a mysterious package from his grandpa, who died many years ago, he thinks it is someone playing a cruel joke.
When that same package explodes into flames and somehow transports him to an endless desert... his opinion changes.
Stranded alone in the desert with nothing but a strange fanny pack, Oliver will have to face extreme thirst, bloodthirsty beasts, deadly sandstorms, and much more.
And, it isn’t long before he realises something: he’s not the only one in the desert. There are others; not just other people, whole cities of other people. Nations of people. And when there are nations, there is war.
Amid the chaos, who can he trust? What will he do? And how will he get home?
