Derek accepts a €50 bet from the pack to make Stiles fall in love with him, believing it will be easy. As he spends more time with Stiles, his fake feelings become real, and they eventually become a happy couple. Derek plans to confess how their relationship started, but before he can, Peter reveals the bet during a pack dinner by handing Derek his winnings. Heartbroken, Stiles discovers that everyone except Lydia knew about the bet. Feeling betrayed by Derek and his friends-especially Scott-he leaves. After months of regret, apologies, and Derek proving his love is genuine, Stiles slowly forgives him, and they begin a new relationship built on honesty and trust.
