Adventure
Valencia Talon a blue-eyed, brunette, 5'6, strong, 21 year old woman lives in a world where everything went wrong. Thirty years ago, humanity reached what many believed was the pinnacle of scientific achievement. A coalition of governments and pharmaceutical corporations developed an experimental self-evolving nanovirus known as Project Lazarus, designed to eliminate disease by rewriting damaged human cells. During its final testing phase, a massive earthquake struck the underground research facility where the virus was stored. Backup containment systems failed, and Lazarus escaped into the atmosphere. Instead of curing humanity, the virus merged with naturally occurring pathogens and mutated beyond anyone's control. The result became known simply as The Blight. The Blight spread across continents in less than four months. Those infected suffered high fevers, violent hallucinations, and accelerated tissue regeneration that twisted muscles, bones, and nervous systems into monstrous forms. Some became mindless predators driven only by instinct. Others retained fragments of intelligence, making them even more dangerous. Wildlife wasn't spared either-wolves, bears, birds, and insects evolved into terrifying creatures that reshaped entire ecosystems. Governments collapsed within a year. Cities burned. Militaries fought losing battles against overwhelming hordes and eventually turned on one another as resources dwindled. Power grids failed, satellites fell silent, and civilization fractured into isolated settlements protected by walls, scavenged technology, and desperate survivors. Nature reclaimed the abandoned world. Skyscrapers became overgrown forests, highways disappeared beneath vines, and forgotten suburbs became hunting grounds for infected creatures.

Excerpt I got a peace offering. And Ice cream. The message popped up again. His Bhaiyu was making it hard to ignore. Darwaza khol, yaar. Mogambo uth jayenge. Ansh glared at the French windows. Even desperate his Bhaiyu would not quit the name calling. Shall I leave? Ansh did not respond. Okay! Leaving the ice-cream outside. Take it before it melts. Ansh did not respond, but his heart skipped a beat. He wanted to meet his Bhaiyu. He was even a little desperate, but he did not wish to give in so soon. So, he counted until 100 and then slowly made his way outside. Iris hopped down from the bed and followed behind him. Ansh opened the doors with a big heart only to find a basket filled with dumb yellow smile squishes and a big tub of ice-cream in between. A few CD's were tucked into the basket almost as an afterthought. The game CD's that Ansh wanted. Ansh glared at the basket. "Do minute nahi rukh saktey they kya?" He muttered under his breath. "You made me wait 17 minutes, kidoo" A voice whispered in his ears. Ansh almost screamed but Nirbhay's palm closed around his mouth before any sound could slip. Ansh's heart thudded in his chest. His Bahiyu had almost given him a heart attack. Nirabhay grabbed the basket and slipped inside with Ansh, and shut the door behind him.
