Mordecai Robin Felsenthal is my best friend. He has been for over almost three years and probably always will be. He's been with me through my best and worst times, through thick and thin, through the highs and lows. I go to him when my life has gone to shit, when I'm bawling my eyes out, and even when I need to be alone. He'll always be there for me, and that's the only thing I've ever been certain of. Mordecai is my best friend and my favorite person in the world. There's only one problem.

He's not real.

Cameron McLaughlin has used fiction as an escape from her not so perfect life since the death of her brother. But when her fiction becomes her reality, what does she have to escape to?
