Before she was Detective Natalie Bradford, she was Sergeant Natalie Sullivan-a military staff sergeant who served alongside Tim Bradford. After leaving the Army, the two transferred to the LAPD together, eventually falling in love, getting married, and having two daughters, Emma and Sophie. But after Sophie's birth, Natalie and Tim realized their marriage wasn't working and chose to separate, remaining best friends and dedicated co-parents. Years later, Natalie is an undercover detective whose latest operation is compromised when rookie officer Lucy Chen arrests her before her first shift even begins. With her cover blown and her carefully built case destroyed, Natalie is forced to return to Mid-Wilshire, where she has to find her place again-this time as a detective, a mother, and Tim Bradford's partner in a whole new way.
